I live south of Seattle and every once in a while, weather permitting, my camera spotted ‘the Mountain’ — Mt. Rainier. Normally, I don’t get a picture of it as large as it appears, but this time I did.

Wow! What a cool picture! It looks like a mirage!
I played too ๐
well-spotted!
Very cool — and so nice to be able to catch sight of something like that… even if only once in a while! ๐
so beautiful!
I remember flying into Seattle several times when you could see the beauty of Mt. Ranier. Of course I always wondered if the pilot had got lost since you could actually see something besides clouds LOL. Certainly another interesting theme with lots of different takes. Iโm glad I came and saw yours.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Spotted in the distance~ great photohunt!
I love your take on the theme! This is a truly gorgeous photo. Looks like a magic mountain, for sure!
Thanks for visiting mine and have a great weekend.
That is a terrific photo!! Print-quality!
I always try to get a seat on the side of the plane that is likeliest to face Mt. Rainier when I travel. It’s a gorgeous farewell, and an even better welcome home.
Wow it is one impressive mountain. I wonder when it will erupt aigain. I gather it could produece very dangerous lahars. Anyway, havwe a great weekend!
That’s a beautiful shot and a wonderful view to spot. Happy weekend.
What a big hulking thing it is. Like something an alien dumped out.
That reminds me of when we lived in Bremerton. Sometimes “The Mountain” would show up on the horizon. That happened with Denali too, it would rise on the southern horizon, ghostly in the atmospheric mist. Both very large hunks of rock and snow.
what a lovely sight. glad you spotted it. ๐
sometimes *very* close, and sometimes far away. Rainier has a serious presence.
What a nice spot coming up from time to time !
Now, you got him! and it’s very pretty! have a good day!
I used to live near Seattle and we would see Rainier pretty much every day. It was like checking in and I would never feel quite right unless I had checked the mountain.
Nice! Thanks for dropping by.
Great shot! That sure is a beautiful area of the world.
have a great weekend.
It looks beautiful ๐
Almost looks like some mythical beast coming to wreak havoc on the poor unsuspecting. Very cool!
