2014 Accomplishments/ 2015 Goals

Each year I like to look back over the previous year, and then set goals for the coming year. Many people do this on Jan 1st; I prefer to do it on my birthday. I often refine the accomplishments and goals until my new year, Samhain, but the bulk of the work is done on or around my birthday. I also like to do a tarot reading.

(I apparently didn’t blog for 2013, another indication of the deep introspection I was feeling at the time. I’ll have to see what I did on paper (I keep a journal, sporadically). One reason for doing this, btw, is that time seems to be speeding up, and things I thought I did last month actually happened a year ago – I’m beginning to lose my perspective. Or gain it, depending.)

This year, I accomplished:
Sold two articles to Llewellyn annuals
A fully funded 401(k)
Returned to SOMA
Continued with Muay Thai
Started Yoga
Created a viable exercise program (probably)
Converted DVDs to softcopy on our media server
Organize electronic files (better) (from my bucket list)
Travel somewhere on the Bucket List (Italy)
Handmade several gifts for people (wooden blacks for Shayna, in particular)
saved four full months of expenses
opened an ‘index’ stock account to save for retirement
completed household inventory
updated our homeowners insurance
saw Stewart & McKellan on Broadway
grew my hair out — suceeded . . . until I got so frustrated I cut it off for a fancy new ‘do that everyone seems to think is gorgeous (I’m still debating)
worked out as much as possible — pretty good considering the work issues
continue the quest for health — pretty good considering the work issues
one week of absolutely no processed food
lost weight (down almost 25lbs from my heaviest)

In the coming year I want to:
Potentially revise and republish The Virtual Pagan (depending on feedback from a group of readers)
Present at Pantheacon
Get published in a book/anthology
Blog weekly (at least)
Create a system of advanced lessons with my coven
Develop a coven leaders’ handbook
Revise our 2nd * handbook
Make a garden
Consistently exercise three times/week
Organize and compile scrap books
Finish another needlepoint project
Start composting (vermiculture) and install water barrels
Take a cooking class (from my bucket list)
Cook all meals for a month (no dining out) (from my bucket list)
Take up Tai Chi or Belly Dancing or Yoga (from my bucket list)
Finish Household Binder (from my bucket list)
Travel somewhere else on the Bucket List
buy Magickal Connections back from New Page
exercise daily
update book inventory
update music inventory
do puzzles — sell (?)
scrap books updated and completed
update photo albums — label ALL of them accurately
continue to lose weight (another 25 lbs would be great, 50 would be excellent)
remodel our kitchen
redo our guest room to make it exercise-friendly
finish SOMA work

As always, my goals are ambitious.
