I have one simple addiction that has haunted me my entire life . . .
These are about 1/2 of my shelves. I own approximately 1500 books — greatly reduced and purged into those that I truly love. (When I moved cross country 16 years ago I mostly shipped 3000 books.)
What can I say? I love books and I love to read.
I have a great passion for books too! I used to have a humungous library, but many had to be “passed on” when I moved into a smaller home!
Books! I totally am addicted to reading but don’t have near the amount you do! Wow, 3000 books. And my hubby thinks my paltry three shelves are too much. LOL.
I’ve never counted mine but they take up a whole wall in my livingroom. LOTS. A healthy addiction, I would say.
A wonderful addiction.
That is a good addiction. My book buying addiction got a little expensive so I switched to the library. I still have stacks all over the house.
I didn’t think of that one. I’m also addicted to books. Great idea for the theme. Happy weekend.
Oh yes, I have the same issue, and every time I move I feel it. I am moving some things I use digital – a lot of my reference books are more beneficial to me online than off – but I suspect I will never truly whittle them all down.
You have pictured another of my addictions. I love books and my house is full of them.
It’s so great to know that amidst the rise of e-books and digital libraries, there are still individuals whose passion for “regular” books are still alive and well 😀 I’d like to get started on my home library as soon as me and my husband have decided where to settle down.
Have a great weekend.
I can certainly understand THIS addiction. I work in a library and nearly posted photos of my books too! Your house looks comfy. I’d be right at home there! Great take on the theme.
Oh my! could you adopt me? I love books too and this, your nook is the perfect hideout for a bookworm! I forgot about this but glad you posted it for us booklovers.Enjoy the week ahead!
I can totally understand. My late husband was the same.
Our house is overflowing with books. It’s a worthwhile addiction.
